Patriks Career
Patrik started to drive motor cross when he was 11 years old and raced with great success making good results in the Swedish Championship for boys in his age.

The motorcross career ended when Patrik was 15 as he started with folkrace, a Swedish low budget rallycross type of racing. And the success was a fact. When Patrik turned Sixteen he got his rally driver license and started to drive Rally. He was competing in both Rally and folkrace until 2003 when he after that specialized in Rally.

In 2003 The local government, Morgan Olssons stipendium, gave Patrik a scholarship with the motivation: "Patriks driving in the Volvo Original cup is to be compared to winning the Swedish championship".

Under the first year Patrik drove a Volvo original cup car and won almost everything he decided to participate in. In the end of 2004 he did his first two entries in the Swedish Championship in a borrowed two wheel drive car.

2006 The season started with three straight wins in the Swedish championship and Rally Norway a rally that was nominated for WRC status and also got the status in 2007. Patrik also did his first rally on Tarmac this year but the start was a disaster on the first stage a shaft in the gearbox broke and the car had to be towed off the stage. The next day Patrik used the super rally rule and could start over but with a 5 minute penalty and in 26th place. He did an impressive race, he went faster and faster during the rally won tree special stages and finished 8th (If you don´t count the 5 minute penalty he would have finished second).

They won the final run in the Swedish rally championship and Patrik became the Swedish Champion of 2006.

2007 Patrik started the year setting up a cooperation with two new sponsors Olsberg and Monitor. The goal was set to run the whole P-WRC season and as many rallies in Europe as possible. In February Patrik did his first show in a world rally car in the world championship it all went well the goal was to get experience and finish the rally. They finished in a good 11th place. Just one weekend later he won the Norwegian Rally in the P-WRC class with more than 2 minutes 30 seconds faster than the second car.

2008 Göran Bergsten became co-driver and Patrik focused the first part of the season on tarmac rallies in Poland just to get more experience on the conditions that you might face on that particular surface.

In August he rented a Production car to compete in P-WRC Rally Finland. They finished second in one of the fastest rallies on the planet. Unfortunately there was no celebration. After the finish line the technical judge found a small small leakage between the turbo and the restrictor nothing that Patrik had an advantage of, the leak actually gave him a disadvantage but the rules are clear no leaks! So Patrik was disqualified.

Late 2008 Patrik got an invitation of the Russian team URT (Uspenskiy Rally Tecnica) to run the last round in the Russian championship. A round that Patrik won. This win granted Patrik a start in the P-WRC rally England with the same team. The conditions were extreme but Patrik handled it well and finished first. The result was a great success not only for the team but also for the new Subaru, a car that had been on the market for a year without any victories. It all resulted in a full P-WRC season for Patrik in 2009.

2009 2009 Patrik was contracted to run the whole Russian Championship with the URT team. He came and he conquered Patrik won all the Rallies in the Championship and became the first non Russian citizen to become the Russian Champion.

It was harder the P-WRC championship since the new S2000 cars was launched and for 2009 they run in the same class as the Production cars. The S2000 car is smaller, lighter, got more power and better suspension than the P-WRC car. So the best result was a third place in Rally Finland.

2010 Seven rallies done with six victories. The first round of the Russian championship Patrik finished first and is still newer beaten on Russian soil. The second rally was P-WRC rally Sweden and with no S2000 cars the victory was a fact. Patrik was leading the rally from the start to the finish. Two weeks later Patrik won in total the second run in the Swedish championship. Then the team looked east for the first round in the Chinese Championship and they finished first again. With four wins in the season Patrik went to Jordan for the second round in the P-WRC championship a challenging rally due to the heat and rocky roads but after three days the fifth victory was a fact.

The focus for the rest of the year will be the P-WRC, Russian and the Chinese championship A thought goal but with the great start of the season all the goals are well within reach.
